Yesterday (7.2.2014), Winter Olympic was starting in Sochi in Russia. Of course Japan participate to this Olympic. Japanese watch carefully for Mao Asada who is famous skating player in Japan. She started skate when she was small age. In 2006, when she was 16 years old, she participated World Skating Junior Cup and won. She became famous from that time, and she won at many cup. In 2010, there were Olympic in Vancouver and she got silver medal. After that Olympic, gradually she became weaker for skill of skating. These 4 years (2010-2014), she did hard practice. Last year December, she said she will retire of skating player after Sochi Olympic. So, this Olympic is last play for Mao Asada. She said "I promise to everyone that I will get gold medal!!"

Now, she is most strong player in Japan. But at Olympic, she has a lot of rivals. One of these is Yona Kim who is skating player in Korea. She is very strong in the world, and she got gold medal at Vancouver Olympic. She retire skating player after Sochi Olympic, so Asada and Kim can't lose gold medal at this Olympic.

I think Asada and Kim are good rival, because they have a lot of similar point. First, they have old sister. Their sister is skating player too, but not famous. Second, they have a lot of difficult, hard training when they were small age. Kim said she wanted to suicide, because training was so hard. Third, they gradually became weaker their skill after Vancouver Olympic. They did training hard this 4 years. Fourth, they will retire after Sochi Olympic. So this is last play to them. And they can't lose. I think this Olympic is most hard and difficult game for them, because they both have same feeling and same pressure.

Like it or not, this is last game for them, so I wish they will do best and try hard.

Despair speech by the new chairman of NHK                                                 2014. 1. 31

NHK is a government management television station in Japan. It tells to an audience about news, sport, culture, and world happening. Former chairman of NHK resigned, because he finished his term of office. So recently, new chairman, Mr. Momii was chosen. Japan have a lot of problem at TV station, so, many people hoped that he will be good chairman. Because he was a vice-president of big company, and he had a lot of nice experience. Although, at a press conference, he said a despair speech. He said,
"When the World War, there were comfort woman in every countries that joined to war. And I think it is strange that Korea ask to Japan to apologize about comfort woman."Also, he said "NHK is Japanese government management television station, so, we should say Takeshima (land problem with Korea), and Senkaku (land problem with China) is our land in news." Many people despair to his speech.

By the way, what is comfort woman? Comfort woman's mean is that the woman had cruel treatment by the other country's soldiers. At World WarⅠ, Japan made Korea to their territory, and Japanese soldiers did cruel treatment to Korea woman. So, after world war, Korea asked to Japan to apologize for this problem, but Japan didn't.

At Mr. Momii's speech, he said about Japan shouldn't apologize to Korea, so many people despair to him, and criticized him. NHK is Japan government management, so they should support Japan, but NHK is a TV station, and many people (it means not just Japanese) watch it, so his speech was not right.

I think he is so mean, because he doesn't think Korean or Chinese saw this press conference. If they saw this conference, they will shock and be unpleasant. TV program should never hurt an audience, so his speech was wrong.

  

Japan prime minister, Abe think his speech was wrong, so in 31th January 2014, Mr. Momii went to the Diet and was asked many question by Abe and other statesman.
Mr. Momii always said, "I can't express well at conference, because I was nervous. Sorry for invited your misunderstanding." I just can hear his poor excuse.

At last, I want to say my opinion about TV station. Recently, we can see improper contents at many TV programs. One of the example of these TV program is drama. There are drama in Japan name "明日ママがいない　(Tomorrow I don't have my mother)", and this drama tell about the children in the child care home that don't have parents. People don't have antipathy to this theme, but they have antipathy for contains.
In this drama, children were called bad name by home leader. So child care home talked to Japan TV station to stop this drama, but they didn't, and didn't change contains. So, I want to say, many TV programs ignore an audience's feeling and it is very bad thing. I hope it will be good in future. And I can't forgive Mr. Momii's speech.
